Your privacy is important to IDEAS Hub and maintaining your trust is important to us.  We are fully committed to keeping your personal information safe.  We will comply with the terms of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and all other relevant data protection legislation.  If we ask another organisation to provide a service for us, we will ensure that they are also in compliance. This Privacy Policy is intended to provide you with information about personally identifiable information we collect about you and how that personal information is used and shared.

Any reference to the “Service” within this Privacy Policy includes the use of our website at https://www.IDEAShub.eu (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes the information that we gather on or through the Service, how we use and disclose such information and the steps we take to protect such information. By visiting the Site, or by using the Service (sharing personal ideas for feedback, or giving feedback, using the resources provided, or visiting the page), you accept the privacy practices described in this Policy.

IDEAS Hub will intermittently update this Privacy Policy.  If we make changes, we will notify you prior to the changes taking effect by posting a notice on our website and where appropriate, sending you a notification.  By continuing to use our “Service” after such revisions are in effect, you accept and agree to the revisions.

We collect information about you, including personal information, as you use our services and interact with us.

How We Use Your Information

When you submit an idea for feedback on the IDEAS Hub “Site”, “Service”, we collect personally identifiable information about you i.e. your name, email address, images of your designs, descriptions of these designs, and other information which you choose to share. We will collect your information solely to provide feedback for these designs and to occasionally contact you regarding upcoming IDEAS Hub events. We will not use your collected data for any other purpose or to send you any commercial advertisements. 

How We Share Your Information

We will not share, rent or sell your personally identifiable information to others.  We may store personal information in locations outside the direct control of the IDEAS Hub on servers or databases provided by our hosting provider.  Management, security and integrity of data storage are under the direct responsibility of our hosting provider company and are governed by the privacy policy of the organisation providing the hosting service.

Storage and Processing

The information we collect about you through the IDEAS Hub site may be stored and processed in Europe by our third-party hosting provider.  The management, security and integrity of data storage are the direct responsibility of our hosting provider and are governed by the privacy policy of those hosting organisations.

How We Protect Your Information

IDEAS Hub is concerned with protecting your privacy and data but we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or guarantee that your information on the IDEAS Hub “Site”. “Service” may not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by breach of any of our Business standard physical, technical or managerial safeguards.  When you enter sensitive information (such as submit an idea for feedback) on idea forms, we encrypt that information. No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Access and Retention of Data Controlled by Our Users

For existing/current IDEAS Hub Users, you can review, correct, or update your designs.  We will retain your information for as long as your design is active or as needed to provide you with our services. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.  If you wish to delete or export your account data, please contact us directly at IDEAShub0@gmail.com

To receive our Newsletter communications (Consent – Opt in)

IDEAS Hub intermittently sends our Newsletter and information emails about Continuing Professional Development/Training & Education provisions to the email address you have provided.  You may at any time choose not to receive our Newsletter communications by following the unsubscribe instructions included at the end of each email communication.  Any existing registrant/User can also unsubscribe by logging in and editing his/her profile.

In line with the new data protection regulations IDEAS Hub will give existing registrants (Users) the opportunity to click on a link to “opt in” to subscribe to the Newsletter, therefore agreeing to continue receiving the Newsletter communication.  Any existing registrant/User that does not use the link to “opt in” will automatically be removed and deleted from the Newsletter database.  Registrants who have not booked a Continuing Professional Development/Training & Education provision within the last four years or more will also be automatically deleted and removed from the IDEAS Hub website database.

In communication with us (Legitimate Interest)

If you correspond with us, we will collect information such as your name, address, phone number and email address and any other personal information contained within the communication and use it to respond to your inquiry.  We process this information in pursuit of our legitimate interests i.e. providing continuing personal and professional development for teachers and school communities and implementing our statutory remit.

How is children’s personal information treated?

If you are not of legal age to form a binding contract (in many jurisdictions, this age is 18), you may only use the Services and disclose information to us with your parent’s or guardian’s express consent. Review this Privacy Policy with your parent or guardian and make sure you understand it, and do the same with the privacy policies of all websites you visit or mobile applications you use.

We only collect personal information through the Services from a child under the age of 13 (or under the age of 16 for a child in the European Union) where that student’s school, district, and/or teacher has agreed to obtain parental consent for that child to use the Services and disclose personal information to us, for the use and benefit of the learning environment. If you are a student under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Union), please do not send any personal information about yourself to us if your school, district, and/or teacher has not obtained this prior consent from your parent or guardian, and please do not send any personal information other than what we request from you in connection with the Services. If we learn we have collected personal information from a student under the relevant age without parental consent being obtained by his or her school, district, and/or teacher, or if we learn a student under the relevant age has provided us personal information beyond what we request from him or her, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
